Compose Epic Movie Themes on Piano Using the Andalusian Cadence (Part 7)
Compose epic movie-theme music on the piano using 2 simple but powerful melodic and harmonic strategies, all over the Spanish Andalusian Cadence. In Part 7 of the Andalusian Cadence series, Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music shows two ways to turn one progression (i–VIIb–VIb–V) into cinematic themes, using dynamics to create different moods and environments. Theme 1 adds eighth-note embellishments, thirds, a 'war drum' thumb effect and a polyrhythmic vibe; Theme 2 takes a contrasting approach — and Jason revises both so you can compose your own film-score moments. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Introduction & Goals 01:21 Movie Theme Idea 1 02:41 Eight Note Embellishment 02:54 Adding Thirds 03:56 War Drum Effect using the Thumbs 07:02 Polyrhythmic Vibe 08:15 Movie Theme Idea 2 11:55 Revision of both Themes 12:40 What is Movie Theme (Conclusion) 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Andalusian Cadence (Full 8-Part Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9RMWaeQkDUyuhRaBQXvbyD 🎼 Compose Music ➡️ https://geni.us/compose 🎼 Music Theory ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 +91 77604 56847 (Mobile & WhatsApp) 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #CinematicPiano #AndalusianCadence #MovieThemes
