What Your Left Hand Should (and Shouldn't) Do in Piano Accompaniment
Most accompaniment problems start in the left hand — learn what to actually play, and what to avoid, based on the role of each register of the piano. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music teaches an epic E minor piano melody and how to accompany it in the left hand using patterns chosen for the role of each register and octave range of the instrument. Over the Em–D–C–Bm chords you'll go lower with power chords, open up spread voicing (open 10th chords) and octaves with triads — learning which left-hand choices muddy the sound and which ones make it powerful and clear. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Performance 00:50 The registers of the Piano (Introduction) 03:04 Learn the E minor Melody 05:47 How to use the Transpose button? 07:08 The whole melody with E minor chord 08:02 The 4 chords (Em D C Bm) 10:31 Melody and Chords in the Right Hand 13:29 Let’s go Lower with Power Chords 15:34 Spread Voicing (Open 10th Chords) 17:10 Octaves with Triads 20:24 Revision/Summary 21:50 Conclusion 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎶 All our Arpeggio Lessons (Playlist) ➡️ https://geni.us/Arpeggios 🎹 The Left-Hand Arpeggio for Everything ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVJCXlXkbuY 🤚 Left-Hand Workout (Playlist) ➡️ https://geni.us/lefthand ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #LeftHandPiano #PianoAccompaniment #PianoLesson
