The Ultimate Piano Workout to Speed Up Theory & Train Your Ear
An all-round piano, music theory and ear training exercise that starts with transcribing a melody you hear. After the sheet music is ready (which we made on our own!), we then figure out how to harmonize the melody with different chord progressions & cadences. Of course, there are a few debatable questions: What is the key, scale, time feel, and is there a pickup measure? We then transpose the music to multiple scales, keys & meters, thus making the ultimate music workout for ourselves on the piano. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 Introduction 02:30 Transcription of given Melody 03:50 Melody Line 04:48 How I approach Transcription? 05:47 Finding notes of Melody 10:07 Finding ROOT! 14:45 Notes of 1st LINE 14:55 Notes of 2nd LINE 16:30 Figuring NOTE DURATION 18:43 TRANSCRIPTION 24:32 Debatable Points 26:43 Is the KEY C, F or G? 30:45 Which MODE? 33:33 Harmonic Analysis 39:17 TRANSPOSING the Melody 41:59 Changing TIME SIGNATURE 44:02 SUMMARY ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #EarTraining #MelodyTranscription #MusicTheory
