Play a Rock Bass Line AND Melody at the Same Time on Piano (Hand Independence)
Playing a bass line and a melody together is the hand-independence skill that makes you sound like a complete pianist — and this lesson builds it step by step. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music guides you through coordinating a left-hand bass line with right-hand chords and melody on the piano. You'll learn the chords with their inversions, then the bass line, then put the bass line in the left hand with chords in the right and shape it with dynamics using the pulse. From there you'll add the melody and combine it with the bass line. By the end you'll be playing bass, harmony and melody together — true hand independence on the piano. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 🥁 All our lessons on Rhythm (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT85tF6cGvZK6jc5u6yZg5uU 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Performance 00:46 Introduction & Goals 04:12 Let’s learn the Chords with Inversions 14:09 Let’s learn the Bassline 17:35 Putting it together - Bassline in LH & Chords in RH 21:26 Dynamics using the Pulse 23:12 Let’s learn the Melody 27:15 Melody with the Bassline 30:14 Revision 31:06 Conclusion ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 +91 77604 56847 (Mobile & WhatsApp) 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #PianoHandIndependence #BassLine #RockPiano
