Practice Sixteenth Notes & Improve Your Music Theory (Piano Exercise)
In this Piano tutorial, we learn a Sixteenth Note melody and support it with chords in the left hand using each hit point of the time feel. Using a G Dorian melody composed with 16 semiquavers, we improve our hand independence by counting each sixteenth note in a bar of 4/4. We understand all the relevant theory and then apply the same on the Piano. In Part 1, we focus on counting the sub divisions while in Part 2, we focus on using Rhythmic Devices to compose & improvise freely. This is Part 1 of a 2 part series. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:20 - What we will learn? 01:54 - G Dorian 02:19 - Let’s learn the Melody 04:18 - Chords for the Left Hand 06:06 - Breathe 06:25 - How to Count Sixteenth Notes 11:00 - Left hand chords 12:10 - Accenting the Down Beats 13:13 - Varying Legato & Staccato 14:03 - Targetting the “&” in the RH 14:28 - LH at the & 15:37 - Targetting the “e” 16:52 - Adding in “Swing” Feel 17:23 - Targetting the “a” 19:01 - Exploring more possibilities 19:36 - The 3 step process 20:23 - Preparing for Part 2 with Rhythmic Devices ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🥁 All our lessons on Rhythm (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT85tF6cGvZK6jc5u6yZg5uU 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #SixteenthNotes #PianoRhythm #DorianMode
