Piano Hand Independence Workout: 9 Bass-Line Variations Under One Chord

Hand independence comes from drilling many bass-line variations under a steady right hand — and this workout gives you a full set to build that skill on piano. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music takes a single G minor chord and shows you how to develop serious hand independence by cycling through multiple left-hand bass-line variations. Combine quarter and half notes, tied notes and rests in the left-hand bass line. The right hand plays G minor with a steady pulse, quaver movements and staccato, while the left hand develops 'Sa Re Ga' note combinations. Eighth-note variations and a 'Another Brick in the Wall' application pull everything together. It's a structured, repeatable workout that genuinely strengthens the independence of both hands. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 🥁 All our lessons on Rhythm (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT85tF6cGvZK6jc5u6yZg5uU 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Performance 00:10 Introduction 02:18 G minor Chord 03:48 Left Hand Bass Notes 04:49 Combining Quarter Notes (Crotchets) and Half Notes (Minims) 05:16 Variation 1 07:44 Variation 2 09:05 Variation 3 09:23 Variation 4 - Using Tied Notes 09:43 Variation 5 - Using Rests 10:10 Combinations 10:45 Quaver Movements in Right Hand 11:41 Staccato in the Right Hand 14:04 Bass Line Combos with Sa Re Ga 16:29 Eighth Note Variation 1 in the Left Hand 18:46 Eighth Note Variation 2 19:08 Eighth Note Variation 3 19:49 Eighth Note Variation 4 22:45 Another Brick in the Wall 23:57 Another Brick in the Wall - Variation 2 24:54 Another Brick in the Wall - Variation 3 ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #PianoLessons #PianoTutorial #HandIndependence #LeftHandPiano #BassLine
