Master Chord Inversions, Rhythm & Hand Independence in ONE Piano Exercise
Master every triad inversion, lock in rhythm patterns, and build hand independence — all in one piano exercise built on the most popular progression ever, I–vi–ii–V. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music walks you through a single exercise that trains three skills at once. You'll play every possible inversion shape (root, 1st & 2nd) over the I–vi–ii–V progression and learn how to change chords in the most efficient, smoothest way possible. From there you'll add arpeggios and block chords, a left-hand root-and-fifth toggle bass, and improvised rhythm on top — so by the end you're truly mastering your triads, not just memorising them. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Performance 00:16 Goals for the lesson 02:05 The chords and their inversions 07:01 Arpeggios & Block Chords 11:10 Left Hand Bass considerations 12:12 Left Hand Bass pattern (Root & Fifth Toggle) 13:19 Improvising the Rhythm 14:15 Revision & Conclusion 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🔄 Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 🎹 An Inspiring Piano INVERSION EXERCISE using Chord Trees ➡️ https://youtu.be/wI2_FLY1pDw 🥁 10 Piano Rhythm Patterns to Practice Chord Inversions ➡️ https://youtu.be/DjPqzQqe_NY ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #PianoLessons #PianoTutorial #ChordInversions #HandIndependence
