How to Improvise on Piano Using Accented Phrases
Learn how to improvise on the piano using accented phrases. Using one of the properties of sound - Pitch, we improvise over 3 unique sets of note combinations. The melodic phrases are made possible using a combination of groupings - 2, 3, 4 & 5 - and accents. Practice hand independence and improve musicality with Drones, Accent Hits & a Steady Pulse in the Left Hand alongside all the mathematical permutations created using the note sets in the Right Hand. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:37 - Introduction 02:34 - Minor scale in Right Hand 04:06 - Groupings with Minor Scale 06:51 - Pentatonic Notes in RH 07:52 - Groupings with Pentatonic Notes 08:24 - Groupings in RH with Chord Tones 10:16 - Combination of Groupings in 4/4 11:11 - Combination 1 12:37 - Combination 2 13:07 - Combination 3 14:11 - Definition of an Accent 14:26 - Combination 4 15:03 - Combination 5 15:17 - Left Hand Patterns 15:35 - LH Pattern 1 16:56 - LH pattern 1 + Minor Pentatonic Grouping 17:28 - LH pattern 1 + Chord tones Grouping 18:00 - LH Pattern 2 20:00 - LH Pattern 2 21:19 - Revision of LH Patterns 22:14 - LH patterns + Pentatonic & Chord tones 23:06 - 16th Notes Grouping 24:21 - Grouping in 6/8 25:08 - Grouping in 5/4 25:31 - Grouping in 7/8 26:29 - Conclusion 27:31 - Summary ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🥁 All our lessons on Rhythm (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT85tF6cGvZK6jc5u6yZg5uU 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #PianoImprovisation #Accents #PentatonicScale
