Ear Training: How to Listen to Clusters of Chords Easily (Cadences & Circle of Fifths)
Hearing whole chords at once gets much easier when you anchor your ear with cadences and the Circle of Fifths. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music teaches you how to hear chords better using cadences and progressions built from the Circle of Fifths and musical intervals. You'll train your ear to sing the root, third and fifth of both major and minor triads, using both directions of the Circle of Fifths plus diminished seventh and augmented chords — and understand all the relevant music theory. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Clusters of Chords 00:18 - About the Lesson 00:42 - Major & Minor Triads 01:31 - Levels of Ear Training 02:14 - How to Practice this Lesson 02:56 - Challenges of the Apps 03:37 - The Cadences & Intervals 04:32 - Circle of Fifths Patterns 05:28 - Authentic & Plagal Cadence 06:57 - Singing the Chord Roots - C & G 09:49 - Perfect Cadence - C to the F 10:32 - Singing the Thirds 12:10 - Around the Circle of Fifths 12:41 - Pitch Confidence 14:52 - Counter Clockwise Circle of Fifths 15:47 - Practicing Root & 5th 16:14 - Digesting the Sound 17:43 - Music Theory Bonus 18:05 - Putting the whole chord together 18:42 - Anticipating the Chord Change 19:04 - Sa - Ga - Sa - Pa 20:44 - Diminished 7th Family 22:27 - Detecting the Roots of the Minor Triads 24:05 - Not relying on the Piano 25:14 - Ear Training - Music Theory 27:01 - The Curiosity Factor 27:46 - Attention Ear Training folks 29:09 - The Augmented Family 30:08 - Minor Chords as you traverse Major Thirds 31:00 - Diminished Family with Major chords 31:35 - 3D Ear Training ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #EarTraining #EarTrainingChords #CircleOfFifths
