Rock 'n' Roll Piano Basics: Walking Bass Line & Blues Rock Groove
Blend Rock & Roll & Blues on the Piano with a chord rhythm pattern to develop hand independence. You'll learn a steady bass line in the Left Hand with the correct posture and support it with a Blues Rock Groove in the Right Hand. Also, learn how a passing plagal chord works! We use the I, IV and V chords in the key of G, inversions for proper shifting, an eighth note left hand pattern, time feel and triplet feel, passing bass notes, the 12 bar blues and the major blues scale, plus a look at Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:25 - Introduction 02:39 - I, IV, V chords in the key of G 03:18 - Inversions for proper shifting 04:11 - Passing (Plagal) Cadence 05:48 - Slow Quaver Pulse in the LH 06:09 - Dolly Parton - 9 to 5 07:19 - Proper Wrist Posture 08:07 - Eighth Note Left Hand Pattern 09:01 - Time Feel 09:28 - Triplet Feel 10:45 - Let’s do the Disco 11:44 - Passing Bass Notes 16:13 - 12 Bar Blues 16:49 - Right Hand Rhythm Pattern 18:36 - Passing Plagal Triads 20:59 - The Major Blues Scale 22:31 - Improvise in the gap 23:15 - Conclusion ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 +91 77604 56847 (Mobile & WhatsApp) 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #RockNRollPiano #WalkingBass #BluesPiano
