Piano Hand Independence With Sixteenth Notes: The Tresillo Pattern (Part 6)

Develop hand independence with sixteenth notes, playing the popular Tresillo (Pop Clave) in the left hand under a syncopated melody. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music uses a sixteenth-note time feel to play the popular Tresillo, or Pop Clave, in the left hand while a simple syncopated melody sits in the right hand. You will count the Tresillo, form and finger the left-hand chords, dial in their timing, choose between staccato and legato with the pedal, play a right-hand ostinato melody, meet the Dorian mode, and finish with a performance and a super slow version. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #HandIndependence #TresilloRhythm #SixteenthNotes Chapters 00:00 Tresillo bass rhythm with a right-hand melody 02:14 Hear the left-hand pattern 02:58 Count the sixteenth-note hit points 03:29 F minor, E flat sixth and B flat add-nine over D 05:08 Fingering the chord shapes 05:42 Chord durations 06:15 Apply tresillo to the chord progression 07:10 Practise without the pedal 07:51 Add pedal changes 08:44 Learn the simple right-hand melody 10:41 Major-sixth colour in the melody 11:22 Full right-hand melody 12:28 Combine melody and left-hand tresillo 13:21 Recap the F Dorian melody and chords 15:53 Slow full exercise
