One Rhythm Pattern Is All You Need to Create on Piano
With just a one-bar rhythm pattern, you can create everything on the piano — melodies, chord patterns, finger exercises, drum grooves and basslines. In Part 2 of this series, Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music takes a simple chord progression over an eighth-note rhythm and shows how far one pattern can stretch. You'll improvise right-hand melodies using thirds and 'sets of 3', then turn the same rhythm into focused finger drills — ideal for improvisation, rhythm training and just having fun at the piano.
