Major to Relative Minor Arpeggios on Piano (6/8 Pattern & Inversions)
Practise moving from a major chord to its relative minor using a 6/8 arpeggio pattern, chord inversions and one moving voice. Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music starts with G major and moves through an augmented chord to E minor. The fifth moves from D to D-sharp to E while the other chord notes stay in place. Practise the arpeggio in root position, first inversion and second inversion, adding a different note to each shape. Then combine the right-hand pattern with left-hand block chords and sing the moving note to train your ear. Apply the same idea in F major with D minor and E-flat major with C minor, developing your inversions, hand coordination and 6/8 playing across keys. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:41 - Major to Relative Minor 03:12 - 6/8 Arpeggio Pattern 03:48 - Add Notes to each Inversion 06:20 - Theory Revision 07:43 - Train the Ear and Sing the Floating Note 09:30 - 1st Inversion 11:24 - 2nd Inversion Arpeggio 13:48 - Different arpeggio combos 14:35 - F Major to D minor 16:23 - Eb Major to C Minor 18:16 - Conclusion ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 +91 77604 56847 (Mobile & WhatsApp) 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #RelativeMinor #PianoArpeggios #ChordInversions
