Shape of You on Piano: Hook, Melody & Easy Add-Ons That Sound Pro
Learn the Caribbean-inspired hook of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" on the piano and then play the vocal melody in the right hand with the same tresillo groove in the left hand. Go from the original pattern to an advanced workout for pianists. Dive into the theory and train your ears to identify the hit points. Then push your practice further by adding pulse in the left hand, toggling the pulse with a bass line, incorporating ghost notes, and finally mastering the vocal melody of each section, with the left hand taking on the hook. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:14 - Shape of You - Ed Sheeran 00:58 - Inspired from Class 01:56 - The Original Hook 02:34 - The Essential Theory - Scale & Chords 03:52 - The Tresillo Rhythm - Soca Clave 05:35 - The Extra Harmonic Layer 07:11 - Left Hand Chord Roots 07:60 - LH with Staccato Bass 08:35 - Original Pattern - Carbon Copy in Both Hands 09:41 - Legato at the End of the Cycle 10:08 - The Variations begin 12:06 - Next Variation - Toggle the Pulse 13:44 - 3rd variation - Ghost note “e” in RH 15:22 - 4th Variation - Adding in the Melody 20:46 - Both Hands - Melody + Harmony 22:24 - Conclusion ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #ShapeOfYou #EdSheeran #PianoTutorial
