Dotted Notes on Piano: The Rhythm Fix That Instantly Tightens Your Groove
Understand the music theory of Dotted Notes (Quarters & Quavers) and then practice a chord progression on the Piano with a lot of rhythm patterns to train your hand independence. Practice Dotted Crotchets & Quavers with both block chords & arpeggios in the Right Hand while the Left Hand supports with chord roots played as pulse notes, double speed and dotted notes. We use a simple 4 chord progression and focus on essential practice tips - internalising the rhythm & using body percussion. All this over a 3/4 meter. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 - Performance 00:44 - Introduction 01:12 - Predictable Arpeggios 01:40 - What you will learn 03:37 - What are Dotted Notes? 06:22 - Dotted Quarter Note with the “Charleston” Gap 08:04 - Dotted Quaver 11:27 - Compensation within 4/4 11:55 - Recap of Dotted Noted 12:57 - The Chord Progression 13:44 - Progression on F Minor 16:44 - Simple version with Dotted Minims 17:15 - Doubling the Bass in the LH 19:25 - Converting to Dotted Eighth Notes 21:48 - Dotted (Accented) Arpeggios 27:42 - Practice Tips 28:52 - Away from the Piano 29:25 - Body Percussion for Independence 30:29 - Conclusion ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrNNL05e9FT9ygtrGwGFmfyvMyGWH52EC 👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielschool.com ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️ https://instagram.com/jasonzac 📞 Call +91 98454 65411 · 💬 WhatsApp chat +91 77604 56847 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #DottedNotes #RhythmReading #PianoRhythm
