I Finally Got the Pocket Piano — Here's My Honest Take
Unboxing and full demo of the Pocket Piano V2 — a modular 88-key portable MIDI controller with onboard sounds, Bluetooth pedal & more. In this video, I do a completely blind unboxing and first-look demo of the Pocket Piano V2 — a brand new modular portable keyboard from a Spanish company based in Barcelona. No script, no manual, just real reactions as I figure out what this thing can actually do. The Pocket Piano V2 is unlike anything else on the market right now. It's a modular 88-key controller that clicks together magnetically, fits inside a small carry case, and connects via USB-C MIDI. I test the latency with Pianoteq, try out the onboard piano, electric piano, clavinet, and pad sounds, and even pair the Bluetooth pedal straight out of the box. Throughout the demo I compare the feel to my Roland RD88 and Yamaha CK88, talk about the build quality, and discuss real-world use cases — from touring musicians flying between cities to online piano teachers who need a lightweight setup. I also share the practical challenges of importing this product to India and dealing with customs. This isn't a sponsored review — just an honest first impression of a product I've been waiting months for. Whether you're a gigging keyboardist, a music teacher, or a gear nerd curious about the future of portable MIDI controllers, this video will help you decide if the Pocket Piano V2 belongs in your bag.
